Launched in 2011, the AECOM Fellowship Program recognizes AECOM employees who, throughout their careers, have distinguished themselves as technical thought leaders and demonstrated significant contributions to the company and its clients, the engineering industry, and technical disciplines.
“We are proud to celebrate these senior-most thought leaders for their vision, technical and industry achievements, mentorship and unwavering dedication to AECOM,” said AECOM Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John M. Dionisio.
Professor John Endicott has been named to the exclusive AECOM Fellowship Program. After joining AECOM in 1970 and moving to Hong Kong in 1975, Endicott aided in the development of an extensive global network throughout the AECOM geotechnical and tunnelling leaders in other geographies. In 1990, John was elected chief executive officer for the geotechnical and tunnelling business in Hong Kong, serving 10 years and then served as chairman until 2009.
As a professional engineer and adjunct professor, Endicott is a recognized thought leader in geotechnics and tunnelling. His comprehensive knowledge and ability to leverage capabilities globally have assisted AECOM in reaching a global reputation for geotechnical and tunnelling expertise.
Professor Endicott has worked on numerous iconic projects such as Hong Kong’s Chek Lap Kok International Airport platform and the Lai Chi Kok Transfer Scheme Tunnel project. He has been involved with more than 100 underground railway stations and a variety of tunnel assignments. Additionally, John provides specialist peer review services to AECOM offices in India, New Zealand, Singapore and the United States. He has been recognized globally with several industry and academic awards and was recently appointed as a technical expert for the Hong Kong government.
Endicott recently established the Geotechnical Technical Development Steering Committee, which aims to foster the culture of three particular AECOM core values: employees, excellence and innovation. He persistently seeks out opportunities to promote and nurture collaboration. It is this passion that has defined him in the field as a global leader.
An AECOM Fellow is a life-long title awarded to current or past employees who have set himself or herself apart as a true technical thought leader over his or her entire career and who has demonstrated significant contributions to the company, the engineering industry, their specific discipline, and, of course, our clients.
