• Finalists announced for Apac Shopping Centre Awards

    The International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC) recognizes the shopping centre industry’s most cutting-edge properties, innovative solutions and creative responses to market trends, as well as outstanding examples of design and development throughout the world.  As part of their premier awards competition, ICSC is pleased to announce that 75 entries representing 10 Asia Pacific countries have been selected as finalists in the 2011 ICSC Asia Pacific Shopping CentreAwards, designed to recognize outstanding achievements in marketing and design and development of retail properties. 

    The competition was open to shopping centre owners, developers, management companies, architects, designers and retailers.  ICSC will announce the winners of the 2011 ICSC Asia Pacific Shopping Centre Awards during an awards ceremony on 03 November, 2011, during ICSC’s RECon Asia event in Shanghai, China.  For more information, or to register for RECon Asia, visit www.icsc.org/2011APC.

    The 280-meter-tall Lumina Shanghai, developed by Henderson Land Group and designed by Gensler, is the tallest skyscraper in the Xuhui Riverside District.


    A sophisticated yet modern setting was derived by juxtaposition of Indochine-Vietnamese features and wood-fire inspired material palettes. Re-interpretation of the spatial order of a typical Indochine-Vietnamese mansion has been adopted to give hierarchy, layers and details to the space.
