• Gammon Construction wins HK$6.2 billion contract at HKIA

    Gammon Construction has been awarded the HK$6.2 billion Midfield Concourse Works (Contract P533) at Hong Kong International Airport by the Airport Authority Hong Kong.

    This is the largest solo contract ever awarded to Gammon Construction.

    The Works comprise the construction of the new Midfield Concourse in the midfield area of Hong Kong International Airport, complete with nineteen fully serviced aircraft stands and associated fixed link bridges and aircraft loading bridges, extension of the APM tunnel from Terminal 1 to the Concourse, a new taxiway with connections to existing taxiways and extension of the South Runway Road. The works are expected to be completed in September 2015.

    The 280-meter-tall Lumina Shanghai, developed by Henderson Land Group and designed by Gensler, is the tallest skyscraper in the Xuhui Riverside District.


    A sophisticated yet modern setting was derived by juxtaposition of Indochine-Vietnamese features and wood-fire inspired material palettes. Re-interpretation of the spatial order of a typical Indochine-Vietnamese mansion has been adopted to give hierarchy, layers and details to the space.
