94 Hollywood Road – For sale by public tender

20 September 2012, Hong Kong – Colliers International has been appointed as the sole agent to offer 94 Hollywood Road (the Property), Hong Kong, for sale by public tender. The tender will close at 12 noon on 4 October, 2012.

With a site area of 63m², the Property comprises 4 storeys with total gross floor area of 183m². It is to be sold on an as-is basis with vacant possession.

The Property is located next to Centrestage (the benchmark residential development in the district) and it is within the Soho area, which was once famous for its opulent antique shops and art galleries. Now the area hosts a wide array of restaurants and bars, though the area’s art galleries have maintained a strong presence.

“The Property provides an excellent whole block renovation opportunity, which is potential for usage of F&B, fashion shop, art gallery or chi office. In addition, the building’s prominent frontage and convenient vehicular access with parking spaces right at the doorstep of the Property are the value-added features,” said Reeves Yan, Director of Investment Services at Colliers International Hong Kong.

Yan added that the Property will also benefit from positive spillover impact on the community by the revitalisation plan of the adjacent former Police Married Quarters (PMQ). Upon the estimated completion at the end of 2013, the former PMQ will be transformed into a creative industries landmark, which will provide service platforms, studios and retail spaces for designers, as well as landscaped open area for leisure.

Another revitalisation scheme of the former Central Police Station (CPS) on Hollywood Road, expected to complete in 2014, will give an extra potential boost to vibrancy of the Soho area. With the joint effort by the government and the Hong Kong Jockey Club, the historical CPS premises will be transformed into a centre for heritage, arts and leisure activities, which is expected to become a popular landmark.
