The booming economies in Asia Pacific are producing some of the most ambitious and high quality real estate projects in the world. To recognize the spectacular level of innovation that is demonstrated in the real estate business in the region, MIPIM Asia has this year launched the first MIPIM Asia Awards.

The competition honours outstanding projects in terms of originality, innovation, architectural design, services integration and urban insertion. The MIPIM Asia Awards also focus on sustainable development via the Green Buildings competition category.

With over 100 projects submitted from 15 countries, our task as the MIPIM Asia Awards jury was particularly challenging, as we first had to narrow the field down to three finalists in each of the seven categories and then choose a winner for each category.

The standard of entry was exceptionally high and proves that innovation is alive and well throughout the Asia Pacific property industry.

To all the companies that sent in entries to the inaugural MIPIM Asia Awards, the jury thanks you for giving us the chance to admire your work. Well done to the finalists and congratulations to the eventual winners.
