(NASDAQ: CIGI; TSX: CIG), a global leader in real estate services, announced today that Nigel Smith has joined as managing director of the company’s Hong Kong business, reporting to David Hand, chief executive officer, Asia Pacific. Smith comes with a wealth of industry experience, having spent the last 25 years with two global real estate services firms, where he was most recently overseeing the office agency business in Asia.
“The Hong Kong real estate sector continues to evolve rapidly, with client demand for highly customised solutions favouring firms with an entrepreneurial ethos. It is important for us to fully understand our clients’ businesses and provide strategic advice on a full range of real estate strategies,” said Hand. “Nigel is a highly talented leader whose extensive regional and local operations experience and industry network bring us an advantage in delivering value-creating insights to our clients. We are excited to have him join our Asia leadership team as we continue to advance the company’s growth strategy in the Asia Pacific region.”

“Colliers has carved a reputation as an enterprising company with an embracing culture for its people, which aligns with my personal belief that it is the people who drive the business. I am looking forward to working with the team to further develop their already extensive service offering and being a part of this collaborative culture,” commented Nigel Smith, managing director, Hong Kong, Colliers International.
Smith’s onboarding is part of a series of senior appointments made by the global real estate services company to enhance and grow its regional footprint.
