• Widnell Sweett rebrands as Sweett Group

    12 April 2012

Widnell Sweett, the quantity surveying and project management consultancy with offices across Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China has today adopted the Sweett Group brand.

The move is the final part of the Group’s global rebrand from Cyril Sweett to Sweett Group, which started in Australia in June 2011 and has taken in the Group’s operations across the Middle East, India, Southeast Asia and Europe.

Kim Berry, Managing Director, Asia Pacific and Member of the Board of Sweett Group plc, said: “Today’s rebrand marks a significant milestone in our corporate history and also further supports our integration as part of a global organisation. Many of our clients are already benefiting from our ability to draw on our international capability, coupled with local expertise and knowledge.”

With a history dating back to 1977, Sweett Group’s presence in China has grown significantly in the past 18 months, and the Group now employs over 550 staff across offices in Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Macau, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Tianjin and Wuhan.

A sophisticated yet modern setting was derived by juxtaposition of Indochine-Vietnamese features and wood-fire inspired material palettes. Re-interpretation of the spatial order of a typical Indochine-Vietnamese mansion has been adopted to give hierarchy, layers and details to the space.
