• INSPIRE launched in Hong Kong by Australian Institute of Architects

    The Australian Institute of Architects CEO, David Parken and REVEAL books Principal, Katarina Stuebe, celebrate the Launch of the 2011 edition of INSPIRE on 6 December at Kelly & Walsh, Exchange Square, Central.

    INSPIRE features over 240 pages of exciting, innovative architectural projects by leading Australian designers who have been honoured through the Australian Institute of Architects’ 2011 National Architecture Awards.

    This is the second in a series of 10 annual, limited edition books to be published from 2010 to 2020 and is now available online at www.architext.com.au and in Hong Kong at Kelly & Walsh and Swindon Book Co.

    The 280-meter-tall Lumina Shanghai, developed by Henderson Land Group and designed by Gensler, is the tallest skyscraper in the Xuhui Riverside District.


    A sophisticated yet modern setting was derived by juxtaposition of Indochine-Vietnamese features and wood-fire inspired material palettes. Re-interpretation of the spatial order of a typical Indochine-Vietnamese mansion has been adopted to give hierarchy, layers and details to the space.
