• Leighton Holdings appoint Hamish Tyrwhitt as Chief Executive Officer

    Leighton Asia confirmed that Bob Cooke has been promoted to Acting Head of Leighton – Asia, India and Offshore following the appointment of Hamish Tyrwhitt as Chief Executive Officer of Leighton Holdings. Mr Tyrwhitt, 48, has been managing director of Leighton Asia since 2007 and began his career with Leighton in 1986.

    Bob Cooke joined Leighton Asia in June 2007 as Commercial Director and has been in the industry for more than 30 years. “It is business as usual at Leighton – Asia, India and Offshore,” stated Cooke. “We have a strategic and business plan in place which will continue to grow Leighton’s businesses in the vibrant sectors where we operate. Improving value to all stakeholders remains the focus going forward. Leighton – Asia, India and Offshore is like a well-built ship on calm waters. It is heading in a positive and steady direction with current revenue of US$3 billion per annum. I am honoured to be given the responsibility of leading Leighton – Asia, India and Offshore.”


    The 280-meter-tall Lumina Shanghai, developed by Henderson Land Group and designed by Gensler, is the tallest skyscraper in the Xuhui Riverside District.

    A sophisticated yet modern setting was derived by juxtaposition of Indochine-Vietnamese features and wood-fire inspired material palettes. Re-interpretation of the spatial order of a typical Indochine-Vietnamese mansion has been adopted to give hierarchy, layers and details to the space.
