• TFP Farrells and Ryder Architecture Announce joint venture

    22 October 2011

TFP Farrells (TFP) and Ryder Architecture have announced an exciting new joint venture (JV) with the aim of securing opportunities in China’s emerging healthcare market. The company, TFP | Ryder Healthcare, will see TFP’s Hong Kong office working closely with Ryder, bringing together the combined skills and experience of two renowned architectural practices to offer a dedicated resource committed to delivering state-of-the-art healthcare resources. The decision to form a JV came about following an opportunity for the two practices to collaborate on a public hospital project in Tin Shui Wai, Hong Kong, earlier this year and the details were finalised at the recent Hospital Build China Exhibition and Congress in Beijing. At the same time, the Beijing event coincided with China’s announcement of its 12th five-year plan which includes the construction of 20,000 new hospital and healthcare facilities and was a huge success for TFP | Ryder Healthcare with over 500 exhibition and conference delegates engaging with their team.

A common denominator of the JV is Paul Bell, a director with Ryder, who previously worked for TFP in Hong Kong during his 11 years with the practice and as a result, has a broad appreciation of both practices and their synergy. Speaking about the JV, Paul said, “This is a really exciting opportunity for both practices, allowing us to combine our specialist experience of the healthcare sector with proven capability in the delivery of award-winning international projects. I believe we are well placed to develop our reputation for excellence in what is a particularly vibrant and growing Asian healthcare market.”
