(Hong Kong, 17 November 2022) Leading lights from Hong Kong’s building industry gathered at the Build4Asia Awards 2022 Presentation Ceremony and Entries Showcase Area at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre on 17 November 2022 to recognise Asia’s finest projects under the theme of “Live Green, Build Smart, Be Recognised”.
Jointly organised by Build4Asia and PRC Magazine, Build4Asia Awards 2022 celebrated the most exemplary developments, innovations and standards of excellence achieved within the building industry.
The second edition of Build4Asia Awards attracted a record number of entries, confirming Build4Asia’s importance to the building sector in Aisa. The exhibition, now in its 20th edition, is one of Hong Kong’s longest running trade fairs. Build4Asia Awards was launched in 2020 and has garnered a positive response from all sectors of the industry. ROF Media’s partnership with Build4Asia started in 2008 and has flourished ever since.
The Awards acknowledge projects in two main categories, namely Building and Innovation.
- Building Category includes Architecture, Interior Design, Infrastructure and Future Projects.
- Innovation Category covers on Technology, Security Systems, Products and Building Materials.
The 2022 Awards Jury comprised some of the most accomplished architects in the industry, including: Glory Wang, Managing Director, Atelier Pacific Limited; Alex Peaker, Design Director, ATKINS Hong Kong Architecture Studio; William Cheung, Director, LWK + PARTNERS; Wai Tang, Founding Partner, QUAD Studio; Alistair Lathe, Director, Super Geometry Architects Limited and Dr. Peter Cookson Smith, Founder, Urbis Limited.

- Alistair Lathe, Director, Super Geometry Architects Limited: “Guangzhou Infinitus Plaza is an elegant concept developed into a well resolved and beautifully executed design. The use of perforated aluminium panels as both façade expression and sun-shading is appreciated.”
- Dr. Peter Cookson Smith, Founder, Urbis Limited: “A major aspect of MixC Ningbo is the inspiration derived from the Ningbo’s urban heritage, the skywalk and the human centric concept. The textured aesthetic works well, mixing nature with imagination, social engagement and creation of a destination.”
