• Atkins’ Catherine Li elected as CBBC Board member

    8 November 2017

(8 November 2017, Hong Kong) Catherine Li, Atkins’ director for strategy and business development for Asia Pacific, has been elected for a three-year term as a member on the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) Board, after completing her first tenure as a co-opted member on the board for a year.

CBBC is the leading British organisation helping British and Chinese businesses and organisations work together in China, the UK and third markets around the world.

Catherine said: “It’s a great honour to continue to be part of the CBBC board, and having the opportunity to make further meaningful contributions to trade and investment between British and Chinese businesses in China, UK and other countries.”

Chris Birdsong, Atkins’ CEO for Asia Pacific, congratulated Catherine on the appointment: “As urbanisation and the need for quality infrastructure continue at pace, it’s a significant achievement for Catherine to continue her board director role with CBBC representing the construction and engineering industry.”

China continues to play an important role in infrastructure investment and development overseas. Atkins, a member of the SNC-Lavalin group, has been supporting major Chinese companies with infrastructure and development projects along the Belt and Road, which covers over 60 countries, and offers end-to-end consultancy to clients.

Catherine is also the Vice-Chair of the International Infrastructure Forum (IIF) at the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, leading efforts in connecting Hong Kong businesses in outbound infrastructure activities in the rest of Asia including One Belt One Road areas.
