Lighting fair survey shows industry optimism for sales growth over the next two years; Eco Expo deepens international green collaboration

The 28th Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition), the 11th Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo and the 21st Eco Expo Asia concluded successfully, attracting around 62,000 buyers from 152 countries and regions. Key buyer markets included the Chinese Mainland, Taiwan, India, Korea, the United States and ASEAN nations such as Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand.
The twin lighting fairs highlighted the latest innovations in smart connectivity, healthy living, LED display technologies and energy-efficient lighting solutions. Under the theme “Beyond Illumination”, the fairs brought together around 3,000 exhibitors from over 20 countries and regions, showcasing cutting-edge products and technologies for smart cities, commercial applications and connected living. Survey findings revealed strong confidence in the sector, with 63% of respondents expecting sales growth over the next two years. The Chinese Mainland, Middle East and ASEAN were identified as the most promising markets, while artificial intelligence, technological advancement and smart city development were seen as the key drivers of industry growth.
Meanwhile, Eco Expo Asia strengthened its role as a leading platform for green innovation and international collaboration. The event featured more than 340 exhibitors from 15 countries and regions and welcomed over 11,000 buyers. New initiatives, including the ASEAN Pavilion and GoGlobal Connect Zone, enhanced opportunities for cross-border cooperation and supported Chinese Mainland enterprises in expanding internationally. More than 30 forums and thematic sessions brought together government officials, industry leaders, academics and sustainability experts to discuss green technologies, energy transition and environmental solutions.
All three exhibitions adopted HKTDC’s EXHIBITION+ hybrid model, combining physical fairs with online business matching through Click2Match, enabling exhibitors and buyers to continue discussions beyond the event and create further business opportunities.
