• Osram controls over 300 buildings along 20km Yantze River to beautify Wuhan city

    Osram Lighting Solutions successfully held the significant specifier event in the Moodify Night Wuhan on Captain No.9, Yantze River, Wuhan, China on 27th May 2016. Around 80 participants including influential lighting designers, architects and customers gathered together to enjoy the lighting show by over 300 buildings along 20 kilometers river sides as well as to gain inspiration from the moody & relaxing atmosphere.

    “We are delighted to demonstrate the lighting and control solutions for 2 Rivers & 4 Banks tonight. Along the 20 kilometers river sides, you can enjoy the breathtaking light show which tells the story of Wuhan city every night now. Totally 6,785 units of e:cue Butler PRO, Butler S2, LCE mx, LCE and LCE fx are connected and synchronized via fiber optics or 4G network, making it the only control solution based on fiber optics and 4G intentionally to link over 300 buildings together to control the LED media screens.     During the event, Osram Lighting Solutions acknowledged Tsinghua Holding Habitat Development Lighting Institute Company as the key project partner and extensive support on the project.

    Innovative products like Lightify Pro, LEDTouch Panel and Media Tube HO RGBW, are some of the hero products, which were displayed and introduced during the event by the product managers from Retail & Office, Entertainment & Sport and Industry & Street Lighting customer solutions. Lightify Pro is the wireless lighting control system that can be controlled by mobile apps. LEDTouch Panel is an ideal lighting solutions for premium commercial area. Media Tube is an innovative solution that offers RGB and true white in single system with high efficacy.

    The 280-meter-tall Lumina Shanghai, developed by Henderson Land Group and designed by Gensler, is the tallest skyscraper in the Xuhui Riverside District.


    A sophisticated yet modern setting was derived by juxtaposition of Indochine-Vietnamese features and wood-fire inspired material palettes. Re-interpretation of the spatial order of a typical Indochine-Vietnamese mansion has been adopted to give hierarchy, layers and details to the space.
