• Green Building Award 2014 Award Presentation

    HONG KONG, 21 November 2014–The Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) and the Professional Green Building Council (PGBC), co-organisers of the 5th Green Building Award 2014 (GBA 2014) announced the Award winners in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific Region at a gala dinner held at the Conrad Hong Kong Hotel last night, which also marked the HKGBC’s 5 th anniversary in promoting the well being through a sustainable built environment.

    The occasion was honoured to have the presence of Mr Paul CHAN Mo-po, MH, JP, Secretary for Development, Government of the HKSAR, as the Guest-of-Honour, who is also the Honorary Advisor of the Jury Panel of GBA 2014.The night was well-attended by 420key industry players including developers, construction companies, consultants, educational, and professional institutions.

    This year, the Green Building Award themed “Excellence in Sustainable Built Environment”, received a record number of 96 nominations from Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific Region, of which 62 projects were selected as Finalists. The GBA 2014 Award Presentation presented winners of the Chairman’s Award, 5 Grand Awards, 22 Merit Awards and 35 Finalists, from four Award categories of New Buildings, Existing Buildings, Research & Planning, and Building Products & Technologies.

    Ng Yuk Roof Garden was selected as the Jury Panel’s unanimous choice of the highest honour –Chairman’s Award, and the Grand Award winners are listed as follows:

We still have a long way to go but I am very confident that our effort  will create an impact far beyond our imagination.”
