• Innovative Youth Housing Design Competition Winning Design Exhibition

    Organised by The Hong Kong Institute of Architects, sponsored by the Hong Kong Housing Society and supported by The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, the Innovative Youth Housing Design Competition and Construction aims to encourage young architects to make creative use of the limited space to design a practical yet comfortable home for young people.


    A 1:1 real mockup unit of the champion design, together with the finalists’ design drawings, models and videos are showcased in the Science Park to enable the architects to illustrate their elaborate concept to the general public.

    The 280-meter-tall Lumina Shanghai, developed by Henderson Land Group and designed by Gensler, is the tallest skyscraper in the Xuhui Riverside District.

    A sophisticated yet modern setting was derived by juxtaposition of Indochine-Vietnamese features and wood-fire inspired material palettes. Re-interpretation of the spatial order of a typical Indochine-Vietnamese mansion has been adopted to give hierarchy, layers and details to the space.
