    30 July 2026

Retail Component Officially Named “Stage IGC” Brand Vision “Step into the New Age” Creating over 600,000 sq ft New Urban Lifestyle Destination Featuring Diverse Retail and Dining Experiences Leveraging the Strategic “Air + Rail” Advantage Strengthening West Kowloon’s Emerging Core Retail Landscape.

Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (SHKP) today announced that the flagship retail mall of its West Kowloon IGC integrated development has been officially named “Stage IGC.” Embracing the brand vision “Step into the New Age”, Stage IGC is set to deliver a modern one-stop lifestyle destination for professionals, residents and cross-boundary high-speed rail and Airport Express travelers, creating a dynamic urban stage that blends retail, culture and everyday living.

Strategically located atop the Hong Kong West Kowloon High Speed Rail (HSR) Terminus—the only station in Hong Kong with direct rail connection to over 110 Mainland destinations, Stage IGC occupies an incomparable position for cross-boundary travelers with its unique “Air + Rail” dual-hub advantage, seamlessly connecting the Airport Express with the HSR. This enables efficient transfer between Hong Kong International Airport and the national high-speed rail network, and reinforces its role as a two-way international gateway linking the Mainland and the world. Stage IGC also connects Tung Chung Line and Tuen Ma Line, as well as other public transportations that provides easy access to different parts of Hong Kong.

The development is further connected to surrounding communities via the 1.5-kilometre elevated pedestrian walkway, the “Sky Walk,” strengthening integration with West Kowloon Cultural District and nearby neighborhoods, and reinforcing West Kowloon’s emergence as Hong Kong’s new-generation commercial core — “Central 2.0.”

Speaking at the naming ceremony, Sun Hung Kai Real Estate (Sales and Leasing) Agency Limited Deputy General Manager (Leasing) Ronnie Kwong said “West Kowloon is a vibrant, world-class hub that brings together commerce, culture, sustainability and innovation. The name ‘Stage IGC’ embodies the concept of a stage—echoing the artistic heritage of the West Kowloon Cultural District while highlighting the mall’s role as a retail platform. Through a diverse tenant mix and innovative experiences, we aim to create a lifestyle stage for everyone.

The brand logo design is closely aligned with the project’s core vision. The three ascending step-like lines, symbolizing customers stepping onto their own stage at “Stage IGC”, while flowing curves echo the architectural language of fluidity, expressing the ambition to lead the city into a new era. Embracing the brand vision of “Step into the New Age,” the project integrates spatial planning, architectural design and sustainability to create a new inspiring stage that drives the city forward.”

She added that Stage IGC is a key component of SHKP’s West Kowloon strategy, leveraging its unique “Air + Rail” advantage within a commercial portfolio exceeding 8 million square feet, including International Gateway Centre (IGC), International Commerce Centre (ICC), W Hong Kong, The Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong, Artist Square Towers and other retail and green open spaces. Together, these assets create a synergistic cluster of Grade-A offices, luxury hotels, retail and cultural facilities. The cluster’s proximity to the West Kowloon Cultural District enhances its appeal as an integrated arts, retail and lifestyle destination.

Amid rising cross-boundary travel—supported by expanded and optimized Mainland visa-free policies. Cross-boundary business and leisure travel has become increasingly frequent, reinforcing West Kowloon’s position as a gateway where international and Mainland passenger flows converge.

The IGC development marks a transformative new chapter for West Kowloon’s 8 million sq ft commercial and arts and cultural community. IGC houses major international financial and investment institutions, including global wealth management giant UBS, Ping An Bank, Banco Santander, Rabobank, CCB (Asia), AXA, AIA and FWD, among other renowned enterprises. The project has also drawn prestigious brands of the family office, securities and human resources sectors, together forming a substantial and influential cross-border business ecosystem spanning Hong Kong, the Mainland and international markets.

As the core retail hub within the development, Stage IGC will effectively capture passenger flows from the airport, high-speed rail station and surrounding office towers, converting cross-boundary traffic into tangible consumer spending, further energizing commercial vitality and supporting the Group’s long-term vision of positioning West Kowloon as “Central 2.0.”

Stage IGC spans five-storey with a total gross floor area of over 600,000 square feet, offering approximately 240 shops ranging from a few hundred to 10,000 square feet. Targeting office professionals, young families, high-speed rail and Airport Express travelers and arts and culture enthusiasts, the mall will introduce innovative and distinctive brands, complemented by indoor and outdoor promotion spaces to enhance the overall customer experience.

Leasing for the mall’s first phase is progressing actively, covering approximately 80,000 square feet. A soft opening is scheduled for late 2026, with full completion and a grand launch targeted for the third quarter of 2027.

Green Culture × Smart Infrastructure — Pioneering EV Charging at Every Parking Space

IGC features extensive landscaped areas, including over 100,000 square feet of garden terraces, outdoor plazas and atriums, with total greenery exceeding 200,000 square feet. These sizeable open spaces provide venues for cultural, artistic and lifestyle events, creating synergy with programs at the neighboring West Kowloon Cultural District and extending the cultural footprint to deliver immersive, cross‑venue experiences.

To promote green mobility and support smart city development, the mall offers 543 parking spaces, becoming Hong Kong’s first car park to equip all spaces with medium-speed EV chargers, including 20 fast-charging stations—fully supporting electric vehicle use and underscoring the project’s commitment to sustainability.

IGC Integrated Commercial Project Fosters a Sustainable Business Ecosystem

The integrated commercial development comprises the Grade-A office tower “IGC” and the retail mall “Stage IGC”, together forming a large-scale mixed-use complex. The mall adopts a clear vertical zoning strategy, bringing together a diverse mix of retail, lifestyle, sports and leisure, and premium dining offerings. Supported by a stable customer base—including approximately 20,000 Grade-A office workers from IGC and ICC, over 25,000 nearby residents, as well as visitors to the West Kowloon Cultural District and guests of luxury hotels—the project is well positioned to generate sustained consumption momentum.

The development also adopts internationally recognized green building and sustainability standards, achieving the highest pre-certification ratings under LEED, BEAM Plus, WELL, China Green Building Label (CGBL) and China Healthy Building Label (CHBL). The office tower is additionally the first in the Greater Bay Area to achieve Excellent rating in BREEAM International New Construction.

Stage IGC strategically located in the heart of West Kowloon, sets a new urban lifestyle landmark.

Designed by International Architectural Firm to Shape a Future City Landmark

Designed by world-renowned architectural firm ZHA Architects, IGC is guided by the core concept of “Flow and Connectivity,” echoing the distinctive geometric form of the West Kowloon High Speed Rail Station and shaping a futuristic architectural identity.

The mall incorporates cascading landscape terraces and an open podium design that naturally draws urban public space into the development. Its overall layout emphasizes seamless vertical and horizontal circulation, integrating the 24-hour elevated pedestrian walkway “Sky Walk,” surrounding footbridge networks, and a main thoroughfare linking the office lobby and mall to create a transparent, fluid, multi-dimensional spatial experience.

The design also maximizes outdoor public spaces to enhance natural lighting and ventilation, while thoughtful building articulation balances privacy with visual permeability. Blending iconic aesthetics with sustainable principles, the architecture itself becomes a stage that embodies urban vitality and a forward-looking vision.

Unrivalled Connectivity — Bridging the World and the Mainland as a Two‑Way Gateway

West Kowloon is Hong Kong’s only integrated transport hub combining the High Speed Rail, Airport Express and three MTR lines. Stage IGC enjoys a distinct “Air + Rail” advantage, with direct access to the West Kowloon High Speed Rail Station, which handles over 90,000 passengers daily. Last year, more than 1.3 million foreign visitors travelled to and from the Mainland via the West Kowloon checkpoint. In the first half of 2026 alone, the figure reached 819,000—representing a 36% increase compared with the same period in 2025. These figures underscore Stage IGC’s strong potential to capture international and cross-boundary passenger flows.

The project is also just a one-minute walk from Austin Station on the Tuen Ma Line and three minutes from Kowloon Station for the Airport Express and Tung Chung Line, in addition to being adjacent to a public transport interchange and cross-boundary bus terminus. The high-speed rail network connects to 113 destinations nationwide, providing the mall with a stable and diverse visitor base while reinforcing its role as a two-way gateway linking Hong Kong with the world.

Through the approximately 1.5-kilometre elevated pedestrian walkway, the “Sky Walk,” the project connects seamlessly to key surrounding districts and cultural landmarks, including Jordan, the West Kowloon Cultural District and the waterfront promenade, further enhancing walkability and district-wide connectivity. Together with neighboring landmarks such as ICC, M+, the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the Xiqu Centre—as well as nearby luxury hotels and cultural and commercial facilities—the project benefits from strong synergies that solidify its positioning as a new metropolitan lifestyle and consumption hub in West Kowloon.

Aligning with National 15th Five‑Year Plan — Capturing Northbound and Cross‑Boundary Opportunities

In alignment with the nation’s 15th Five-Year Plan and the collaborative development blueprint of the Greater Bay Area, alongside with the HKSAR Government’s initiatives to promote the “mega‑event economy” and cross-boundary infrastructure connectivity, Stage IGC is committed to transforming its high-speed rail gateway advantage into core economic momentum.

In recent years, northbound consumption by Hong Kong residents has grown notably, while travel patterns of Mainland visitors to Hong Kong have become more frequent and lifestyle-oriented. Consumer demand is shifting from single-purpose shopping to integrated experiences that combine tourism, culture and lifestyle elements. With more international exhibitions, cultural and arts programs, and major sport events taking place in the West Kowloon Cultural District and nearby areas, the district’s visitor profile is becoming increasingly diverse, accelerating the evolution of retail towards integrated “tourism–culture–lifestyle” consumption scenarios.

Situated at the heart of the high-speed rail gateway, Stage IGC will actively explore initiatives such as HSR ticket privileges, cross-boundary joint promotions and collaborations with global brands to convert passenger flows into tangible spending power. In tandem with the Government’s push
for the night-time economy and experiential consumption, the project aims to cultivate a more vibrant, high-value and internationally competitive retail ecosystem in West Kowloon.
