• Air New Zealand appoints Yolanda Yu as the new Area Manager Hong Kong & Philippines

    (22 June 2018, Hong Kong) Yolanda Yu has been appointed as Air New Zealand’s new Area Manager Hong Kong and Philippines.

    Yolanda has moved to Hong Kong from New Zealand and will be responsible for sales across Hong Kong and Philippines, with a particular emphasis on working closely with Air New Zealand’s alliance partner Cathay Pacific. She reports to Scott Carr, the airline’s Regional General Manager Asia.

    Joined Air New Zealand since 2014, Yolanda has managed the joint ventures between Air New Zealand and Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Air China. She also recently led the implementation of Auckland-Taipei as Air New Zealand’s latest expansion in Asia.

    Scott Carr, Air New Zealand’s Regional General Manager Asia says, “Yolanda’s immense airline experience and deep knowledge of Air New Zealand’s business will help to drive success for Air New Zealand in Hong Kong and Philippines.”

    Yolanda has significant experience of aviation strategy, alliances and network planning, working for Qatar Airways, Star Alliance, All Nippon Airways and China Eastern. She has a Master degree in Aviation Management from Seattle City University. Before moving to Air New Zealand, Yolanda has lived in China, Japan, Germany and Qatar.
