“Urban Antidote”, an architecture exhibition hosted by five emerging Hong Kong designers recently graduating from Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London (UCL), one of the exhibitors being myself.
The showcase features a series of architectural designs presented as antidotes to the their home city. These designs, also to be referred to as ‘‘recipes” are inspired by oriental culinary styles to cure “diseased” urban city issues in Hong Kong and many in greater China. The exhibition will display a spectrum of models, digital and hand drawings to weave a whimsical narrative parallel to the essential qualities of everyday life. These strategies involve materials, modular housing and immersive experiences.
