• Completion of MiC Installation at Hang Kwong Street Light Public Housing

    10 July 2026

The installation of all MiC modules at Hang Kwong Street Light Public Housing (LPH) was completed successfully yesterday (9/7). Ms. Winnie Ho, Secretary for Housing, led a delegation from the Housing Bureau and the ArchSD to witness this important milestone at site. This also marks the completion of all newly built LPH projects with 33,780 MiC modules in total.

LPH is a large-scale social project advocated in the 2022 Policy Address. It aims to address the short-term shortage of public housing supply and improve living conditions and quality of life for people currently living in inadequate housing as soon as possible.

Hang Kwong Street LPH consists of 1,164 MiC modules and provide 855 units under the design themes “Blissful and Colourful Life” and “Firefly”, contributing to a vibrant, wellness-oriented community. As the main contractor, Yau Lee Group has consistently pushed the boundaries of innovation and construction excellence. For instance, we strictly implemented just-in-time installation and optimized inspection processes to reduce lifting time from 30 minutes to around 10 minutes, thereby successfully achieving a three-day construction cycle.

Rosana of Yau Lee Group is proud to participate in this “life-changing” project and is pleased that the LPH mission in terms of the targeted number of units has been accomplished. As we look forward to the next chapter of Hong Kong’s housing policies, Yau Lee Group remains dedicated to collaborating with all stakeholders to co-create sustainable, innovative, and truly livable environments for our community.
