    10 April 2012

(Perth, Australia), Fabritecture was selected to provide a permanent high‐quality tensioned fabric roof for the newly opened state reception centre located above award‐winning Frasers Restaurant located at the famed Kings Park where were facilities have recently received a major upgrade.

Fabritecture designed and supplied a 427m2 roofing custom barrel vault structure with a structural steel with 3 coat paint system.

Ferrari 1002T2 fabric was used for the structure which has the premium T2 fabric coating. The pure PVDF coating has greater resistance to pollution and dirt, requiring less maintenance and cleaning.

Use of premium materials and exceptional design ensures the structure will have an anticipated design life of 25+ years.

Visited by over 6 million people per year as the southern hemisphere’s largest inner city park, the redevelopment of this historic building will ensure Kings Park remains an urban gem with a venue that will continue to service the community for weddings, receptions and major events.

A sophisticated yet modern setting was derived by juxtaposition of Indochine-Vietnamese features and wood-fire inspired material palettes. Re-interpretation of the spatial order of a typical Indochine-Vietnamese mansion has been adopted to give hierarchy, layers and details to the space.
