(16 December 2020, Hong Kong) Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) congratulates Chai Wan Campus for the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) by Ronald Lu & Partners (Hong Kong) – a campus designed as a vertical community-centric green space, which has been awarded “The Leadership in Sustainable Design and Performance Award – Institutional” of the Asia Pacific Leadership in Green Building Awards (The Awards) presented by the World Green Building Council (WorldGBC).
The Awards showcase and celebrate the achievements of businesses and innovators which are leading the way on sustainability in buildings in the Asia Pacific Region. Outstanding green building projects and companies, as well as women leaders were nominated by 15 Green Building Councils including HKGBC. An independent panel of 12 high-profile judges had assessed the nominations and selected the Finalists in three awards categories.
Since The Awards’ debut in 2014, the HKGBC has actively nominated pioneers with outstanding contributions to the sustainability of Hong Kong’s built environment to represent Hong Kong to compete for The WorldGBC Asia Pacific Leadership in Green Building Awards. THEi won the Green Building Award organised by the HKGBC and Professional Green Building Council in 2019 and was nominated by the HKGBC to contest for this renowned Asia Pacific Awards.
The Council is pleased to hear that THEi by Ronald Lu & Partners (Hong Kong) from Hong Kong won The Awards. It signifies Hong Kong’s dedication and leadership role in driving excellence in building sustainability in the region.
