The 32-storey pentahotel Hong Kong, Kowloon, is a few minutes’ walk from the Diamond Hill MTR station and features 695 practical, New York loft-style inspired guestrooms.  The hotel’s design blends style with simplicity and comfort with convenience.  Its contemporary rustic décor is complemented by whimsical cultural references which inject a strong Hong Kong style.

“We’re thrilled to be the first pentahotel in this extraordinary city, the pentahotels brand ‘home town,’” said General Manager Andy So.  “Combined with the new Kai Tak Cruise Terminal next door, we feel we’re at the forefront of an exciting new Hong Kong destination. We want to be a showcase of the best of Hong Kong’s fun and energetic spirit.”

The 280-meter-tall Lumina Shanghai, developed by Henderson Land Group and designed by Gensler, is the tallest skyscraper in the Xuhui Riverside District.

A sophisticated yet modern setting was derived by juxtaposition of Indochine-Vietnamese features and wood-fire inspired material palettes. Re-interpretation of the spatial order of a typical Indochine-Vietnamese mansion has been adopted to give hierarchy, layers and details to the space.
