• Six RLB projects winning awards at QBA 2022

    Winners of the Quality Building Award 2022 (QBA 2022) were announced at its Award Presentation Ceremony on 28 April 2023.

    RLB is honoured to have provided quantity surveying consultancy services in six winning projects including Hong Kong Central Market which won the Sustainable Development Award and the Grand Award for the Hong Kong Building (Renovation / Revitalization) category.  

    The six projects are:

    Contract Signing Ceremony for Hong Kong Baptist Hospital Redevelopment

    On 25 April, RLB’s Director Mr. Alfred Hon and Deputy Director Mr. Tommy Lee attended the consultancy services contract signing ceremony for Redevelopment of Hong Kong Baptist Hospital (Blocks A, B & C). RLB will provide full quantity surveying consultancy services for this project.

    Located at No. 222 Waterloo Road, Kowloon, the project includes redevelopment of Block A, B & C providing a total of around 70,000m2 for 600-800 in-patient beds together with out-patient and day treatment capacities.

    Commencement Ceremony for Hong Kong Polytechnic University Student Hostels at Kowloon Tong

    Hong Kong Polytechnic University marked the commencement of the construction of the University Student Hostels with a ceremony at the site on 26 April.

    Set for completion in 2027, the Student Hostels will provide four blocks totaling 1,680 hostel places as well as communal, social, recreational and dining facilities. The hostel portion of the Project will be constructed using modular integrated construction (MiC). 

    The commencement ceremony was officiated by the senior leaders of the University, design consultants and the contractor. RLB, as QS Consultant, was represented by our Managing Director Ms. Ling Lam and Associate Director Ms. Doris Lam.

    RICS Hong Kong Construction Conference 2023

    On 12 May, our Managing Director Ms. Ling Lam participated in the panel discussion at the RICS Hong Kong Construction Conference on the subject of empowering women to succeed in the construction sector. Ms. Lam together with other women professionals shared their insights on the importance of diversity in work place and challenges and solutions for women working in the construction industry.
