Anastassiadis Celebrates Global Recognition as the World’s Best Interior Architecture Firm

Anastassiadis Arquitetos was named the best Interior Architecture firm in the world by popular vote on the Architizer platform in 2026, making it the only Brazilian office to appear on the list.

It is one of the 50 most influential Brazilian architecture firms on the national scene, listed twice among the most relevant offices in Brazil by Casa Vogue (Globo Condé Nast). Based in São Paulo, the office, led by partners Patricia Anastassiadis, Priscila Raffaini Payá, and Anne Galvão, is designed for a global clientele. Anastassiadis’ portfolio includes prestigious projects carried out in France, Antigua, Chile, Spain, Greece, Portugal, and the United States, across all scales.

There is also a consistent body of product design work, featuring the creative direction of product development for Artefacto, which brings a distinct freshness to the brand. In this field, numerous awards recognize its contemporary line. Among them are the Kyoto Global Design Awards (2025), Good Design Awards (2025, 2024, and 2022), Iconic Awards (2025), Paris Design Awards (2025), Prize Design for Modern Architecture (2025 and 2023), iF Design Awards (2025 and 2023), A’ Design Awards (2024, 2019, and 2018), and the International Property Awards (2016).

Key Architectural Projects

Among the most notable projects throughout its trajectory are the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in France—one of the most exclusive and historic hotels in the world since its opening in 1870, which has hosted guests such as Ernest Hemingway, Pablo Picasso, and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Anastassiadis is also responsible for the design of Patmos Aktis in Greece (Marriott network), Jumby Bay Island (Oetker Collection), both located on private islands, and Palácio Tangará (Oetker Collection).

Currently under development at the office are the designs for Hotel Nacional in Brasília, a landmark of historical importance to Brazil, and Kempinski Laje de Pedra in Rio Grande do Sul, the brand’s first hotel in South America, where heads of state once signed the Mercosur treaty. In Praia Brava, Santa Catarina, the firm is designing the interiors of Tempo, a branded residences development featuring architecture by Norman Foster. In Rio de Janeiro, projects include the Four Seasons Leblon and the Sofitel Ipanema, a project that marks the return of the luxury brand to the city. Finally, in the United States, the firm is working on the St. Regis Sunny Isles Miami, part of the prestigious Marriott network.

Award-Winning Restaurants

The office is also widely recognized for its award-winning restaurant designs, some of which boast Michelin stars, such as Tangará Jean-Georges in São Paulo. As the only address of chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten in South America, it stands out for its fusion of French technique, Brazilian ingredients, and Asian influences.

At the Sofitel Ipanema in Rio de Janeiro, Anastassiadis will soon unveil the design for Lasai, by chef Rafa Costa e Silva. With two Michelin stars, the space will offer an intimate atmosphere reflecting its relationship with a tasting menu dedicated to fresh, estate-harvested vegetables. There is also Louroc at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc, led by chef Sébastien Broda, featuring a design centered around a haute Mediterranean menu punctuated by Provencal elements. Lastly, Marine Restô at the Fairmont Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro captures the glamorous aura of 1950s Rio, where chef Jerome Dardillac helms the Michelin-starred menu.
