• Space Matrix boldly reimagines its brand identity for a new era of workplace design

    4 April 2024

(4 April 2024, Singapore) Space Matrix, a workplace design and build powerhouse headquartered in Singapore, has unveiled a new dynamic brand identity that reflects its evolution as a leader in a digital-first world that puts people at the heart of office design.

The rebranding showcases Space Matrix’s 23-year-old journey of unwavering commitment to shaping and staying ahead of the workplace design landscape.

The transition comes in light of changing work trends and how the company’s approach has grown and evolved to accommodate the changing needs of businesses.

“The world of work is changing rapidly, and at Space Matrix, we believe our brand identity should reflect that,” says Arsh Chaudhry, CEO of Space Matrix. “We’ve played a pivotal role in shaping workplaces for the future for over two decades, and it is time for our brand identity to reflect that. This evolution signifies a company moving into a “new era,” one that acknowledges the significant changes in the business landscape and the strategic role workplaces now play.”

    Younger, bolder aesthetic

At the crux of this brand transition is a new logo featuring a dynamic and cohesive cube as its central icon that draws inspiration from the company’s past and reflects its future. This vibrant identity embodies Space Matrix’s essence and vision, focusing on a “younger, bolder aesthetic” designed for a digital-first world.

Inspired by nature, the modernised logo and vibrant colour palette, highlighted in the cornerstone ‘Matrix Red’, signify a new narrative that embraces both physical and virtual aspects of work. The redesigned ‘A’ symbolises continuous growth and a visionary perspective.

At the same time, the “fourth dimension” square serves as the binding force, a window to Space Matrix’s mission to transform workplaces into a positive catalyst for people to thrive and businesses to grow.

The new look and feel is vibrant, and approachable, showcasing the energy and dynamism Space Matrix brings to every project it executes.

“The way we work has fundamentally shifted. Workplaces are not just about cost or real estate but also strategic tools for success. Our new identity emphasises how Space Matrix helps businesses leverage design to empower their employees and achieve their goals. Our vision is ‘Building flourishing communities at work that drive human potential’ while our mission is to ‘transform the workplace into a positive catalyst for people to thrive and businesses to grow and collectively protect our planet’,” Chaudhry remarked.

    Coinciding with current trends

The rebranding coincides with several key trends currently shaping the workplace design industry:

People as the stabilising force: In today’s volatile business environment, a company’s greatest asset is its people. The new brand emphasises how Space Matrix translates design principles into tangible business benefits by creating workspaces that empower and invest in employees. Well-designed workplaces become more than just a cost; they are a strategic investment in attracting, retaining, and nurturing top talent, ultimately leading to business success.

Building a thriving culture: Beyond functionality, fostering a strong company culture is critical for every business, especially today. The rebranding reflects the firm’s commitment to creating workspaces that are not just inspiring and comfortable but also cater to diverse needs and encourage collaboration. This, in turn, helps businesses cultivate a thriving company culture where employees feel valued, engaged, and motivated to do their best work.

The evolving employee experience: Today’s workforce prioritises a positive employee experience. The new logo reflects Space Matrix’s commitment to creating hybrid and flexible work environments that seamlessly integrate technology and physical space.

Digital Transformation: The way we work is becoming increasingly digital, and as a design and build powerhouse, Space Matrix firmly believes in the role technology will play in our work and industry. The new brand identity, designed for a digital-first world, underscores its expertise.

Focus on sustainability: Sustainability is a growing concern for businesses. The rebranding aligns with this trend by highlighting its commitment to designing workspaces that are not only efficient but also environmentally responsible.

“By embracing these trends, Space Matrix is well-positioned to be a leader in the evolving workplace design industry and help businesses navigate the new work landscape. Our focus on people-centric design ensures that companies can create workspaces that not only attract top talent but also foster a thriving culture – crucial elements for success in today’s dynamic business environment,” Chaudhry added.
