• The Twins Tower I grand opening: A new landmark sets to redefine Hong Kong’s urban development & retail landscape

    (15 November 2024, Hong Kong) Lifestyle International Holdings Limited (“Lifestyle International” or the “Company”, together with its subsidiaries, collectively the “Group”), proudly announces the grand opening of The Twins Tower I. Now in operation and buzzing with excitement, the project is Hong Kong’s latest commercial development and a milestone in the retail industry.

    With over 1,000 stakeholders and business partners in attendance, the opening ceremony marks an important moment in Lifestyle International’s corporate history. With Tower I’s occupancy rate at over an impressive 95%, the opening reaffirms the company’s strength and leading position in the retail industry. The Twins is set to transform Hong Kong and will become the city’s newest landmark and retail destination.

    The Twins introduces a unique approach with its twin tower architecture. While appearing identical, the interior architecture and retail positioning intentionally contrast to create a diverse offering. Tower I and Tower II each assert its own unique proposition and commercial format. Taken as a whole, The Twins provide a complementary and comprehensive experience.

    Embodying the ethos of “Different Together”, The Twins is a celebration of collective diversity and the value it can create. Differences, when brought together, are greater than the sum of its parts.

    Reshaping Hong Kong’s Retail and Urban Development: The Twins and its critical role in Kai Tak

    At over 320 hectares, Kai Tak is one of Hong Kong’s largest and most significant urban developments to date. Combining the efforts of both public and private developments, Kai Tak will house commercial developments, residential buildings, urban parks, government offices, health and public services, two new MTR stations, Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, as well as Hong Kong’s largest sports and entertainment complex.

    Master planned as a fully integrated district, Kai Tak will provide living, working, and leisure facilities for over 108,000 residents and 150,000 workforce while aiming to set a new benchmark for a holistic living environment. Within this broader vision, The Twins will play a critical role as the largest and most comprehensive retail destination in East Kowloon.

    The Twins is the latest flagship project developed and operated by Lifestyle International. Spanning eight years from land acquisition, conceptual development, construction, to leasing, the project represents a historic corporate milestone. Representing a total investment of over HK$15 billion, The Twins is Lifestyle International’s commitment and confidence in the continual development of Hong Kong’s retail landscape. The project will produce around 3,800 jobs – further strengthening the local labor market and offers a broad array of job opportunities.

    At over 1.1 million square feet of gross floor area, the Twins is a mixed-use commercial project comprising of two towers, each standing at 120 meters tall with 22 storeys above ground and 4 below ground. The project covers 61,000 square feet of greenery and boasts two signature sky gardens to provide leisure area to complement its commercial offering. The Twins achieves the highest Provisional LEED and BEAM Plus Provisional Platinum certification to ensure that long-term operation will be guided by the highest standards of energy reduction and sustainability.

    Tower I will be anchored by SOGO Kai Tak, a new Japanese-style department store offering a vast variety of goods ranging from daily necessities to luxury products as well as personal services. Securing the company’s leading position, the new flagship will host over 480 brands, including 22 renowned labels making their first appearance in Hong Kong by debuting their first brand retail venue at SOGO Kai Tak Store.

    Particularly noteworthy, SOGO Kai Tak boasts East Kowloon’s largest beauty and skincare selection at over 110 brands; the largest Baby Mart with its selection of over 120 brands; Hong Kong’s most comprehensive home and lifestyle collection with over 140 brands; and an impressive kids zone with over 90 toy brands and over 30 baby and children’s wear brands.

    In the following months, Tower I will subsequently reveal its Restaurant Park, providing three floors of restaurants and eateries; TT SITE, a 25,000 square feet multipurpose and exhibition space; and Sky Koen, an over 19,185 square feet sky garden and sculptural park.

    SOGO is a near 200-year-old brand; with a 39-year operation history in Hong Kong, SOGO has established itself as an important contributor to the city’s international reputation as a retail mecca. SOGO Kai Tak Store will be SOGO Hong Kong’s first store expansion in 10 years. Beyond the immediate goal of anchoring Kai Tak and East Kowloon’s community, SOGO Kai Tak Store carries the greater ambition of becoming Hong Kong’s future standard of retail.
