• Siemens and WEEE GO GREEN EcoPark Promote Appliance Recycling

    28 February 2012

As an environmentally conscious company, Siemens Home Appliances recently partnered with St. James Settlement WEEE GO GREEN to host Siemens Eco Day, bringing together employees, corporate partners and customers to raise greater awareness about sustainability and eco living within the Hong Kong community.

Mr. Jacky Yu, Managing Director of BSH Home Appliances, said, “Siemens hopes to do our share in helping reduce appliance waste through programs such as our collaboration with St. James Settlement WEEE GO GREEN Project to recycle and restore old appliances and Siemens Eco Day to raise greater awareness about environmental protection amongst our employees, partners and friends.”

Committed to promoting a greener lifestyle, Siemens employees, business partners as well as their families joined hands for Siemens Eco Day in a guided visit to the recycling facilities at Tuen Mun EcoPark to learn about how old appliances are recycled or made useable again by occupants at the EcoPark, including St. James Settlement’s WEEE GO GREEN project.
