• Uniting Global Experts at the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design Conference 2023

    The Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design is excited to announce the Urban Design Conference 2023, a global event that will be held on 17th November 2023, at the Nina Hotel, Tsuen Wan West, Hong Kong as the focus event of Hong Kong Urban Design Week.

    The Conference will bring together top experts, researchers, and professionals from around the world to exchange knowledge, foster collaborations, and shape the future of “New Urban Mobility – Healthy Change for the High-Density City”.

    Cities are radically rethinking traditional approaches to urban mobility on the back of Covid disruption, technological revolution, and climate emergency, whilst also trialing new methods of regulation, implementation, and financing. Integrating more innovative approaches to urban mobility needs to form the critical part of reshaping the city.

    The HKIUD Conference 2023 acts to share policy and technology thinking in this disrupted space and explores how the coming approaches to new mobility will shape the urban realm and are critical to the health and viability of Hong Kong.

    The HKIUD Conference 2023 will feature a wide range of sessions, including keynote speeches, panel discussions, and roundtable talks. Experts and thought leaders in their respective fields will share their insights, research findings, and experiences, shedding light on the latest advancements, best practices, and future directions in “New Urban Mobility – Healthy Change for the High-Density City.”

    In addition to the engaging sessions, the HKIUD Conference 2023 will provide networking opportunities, enabling participants to connect with like-minded individuals, establish valuable contacts, and form partnerships that transcend borders. The Conference will foster an inclusive, diverse, and intercultural environment, facilitating collaborations that can have a lasting impact on “New Urban Mobility – Healthy Change for the High-Density City.” The HKIUD Conference 2023 welcomes professionals, researchers, academics, industry representatives, and students with an interest in “New Urban Mobility – Healthy Change for the High-Density City.” It is open to attendees from around the world, offering an international perspective and creating a vibrant atmosphere for knowledge sharing and collaboration.
