Kerry Properties has been selected as a Member of the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2024 for the first time, recognised as a corporation that excels in ESG and sustainability within the global real estate sector. S&P Global evaluated over 9,400 companies across 62 industries worldwide in 2023, aiming to distinguish companies within their industries that demonstrated strengths in three aspects, namely Governance & Economic, Environmental, and Social from its assessment.

The Group has also achieved an A- (the second-highest rating) in the CDP Climate Change 2023, improving from its previous B rating. Such recognition honors the Group’s progressive efforts in enhancing climate management. CDP is a globally recognised organisation that evaluates environmental performances of listed and private companies, and its rating results have been sought after by financial investors. Over 23,000 companies globally submitted their environmental performances to CDP for obtaining a rating in 2023.

Kerry Properties remain dedicated to launching various initiatives and actively engaging stakeholders in the pursuit of environmental protection and sustainability advancement. For our tenants, we have implemented the Dark Green Lease Programme to incentivise our commercial tenants to reduce energy consumption. Along the value chain, the inception of the ‘Supplier Low Carbon Stewardship Scheme’ has attracted suppliers from various sectors to join hands with us on the roadmap of achieving carbon neutrality. The Group also prioritises the well-being of its stakeholders. In the past year, we have organised over 600 CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and staff engagement events.

The awards and accolades garnered by the Group, including the highest 5-Star Rating from the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) for three consecutive years, underscore Kerry Properties’ commitment to sustainability. The Group wishes to express its gratitude to all stakeholders for their continued engagement and support of eco-conscious practices and sustainability initiatives, which contribute to the shared goal of achieving carbon neutrality and a greener, better world.
