• Marcus Kan announced as new Managing Director for Cundall Singapore

    (August 2022, Singapore) International multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, Cundall, has appointed Marcus Kan as Managing Director for Singapore.

    With over 15 years of industry experience, Marcus takes leadership of the Singapore business from 1 August 2022. A Chartered Electrical Engineer, Marcus joined Cundall as a Senior Engineer in 2016. He quickly excelled at a diverse array of leadership skills including commercial management, technical excellence, and people management. In his career, Marcus has worked on major projects in the UK, Middle East and in Southeast Asia. In recent years, Marcus has successfully led multidisciplinary teams in delivering major projects across sectors such as data centres, corporate real estate, commercial and education.

    “I am honored to lead our exceptional team in Singapore,” said Marcus on his appointment. “We have demonstrated our flexibility in response to the pandemic in the past two years and we have come out flourishing. In the 10 years Cundall has been in Singapore, we have successfully grown into a multidisciplinary office, providing world class engineering advice to our clients. As we continue to drive towards zero carbon design on all our projects, I look forward to collaborating with the team and our clients to bring the best solutions for a cleaner and greener Singapore.”

    Commenting on this appointment, Cundall APAC Managing Director Julian Bott, said he was very happy to have Marcus join the wider management team “Marcus has illustrated great leadership skills in the current uncertainty, leading many of our global clients, and providing sound and yet innovative solutions.     A member of the APAC Management Board, Marcus’s new role will focus on delivering high quality and sustainable engineering solutions to our clients and support Cundall’s growth in the Southeast Asia market.

    Cundall opened its Singapore office in 2011 and is now operating with over 60 technical staff. Cundall reported a 30% growth in 2021 with plans to grow a further 20% by 2025. To support the growth, in addition to winning repeat business, Cundall is registered as Singapore Public Sector Panels of Consultants as well as the Singapore Public Utilities Board Panel of Consultants. The gradual growth is in-line with Cundall’s regional expansion plan.
