• RICS Hong Kong Awards 2014 winners announced

    In March winners were revealed in the RICS Hong Kong Awards 2014.The annual awards aim to acknowledge the contributions and outstanding performances delivered in the industry.

    After lively debate and careful consideration of the 11 jurors, 12 winners were selected to showcase their outstanding achievements. This year new categories were introduced including the ‘Community Awards: Members Choice’, which also marks the first awards to be voted by RICS members in Hong Kong.

    RICS Marco Wu_5With the vast and committed membership base of industry experts, these new ‘Community Awards’ have captured the attention of many and look to usher the RICS Hong Kong Awards into a new era.This year’s Property Person of the Year Award was presented to the current Chairman of the Hong Kong Housing Society, Mr Marco Wu Moon-hoi.

    The jury panel voted Mr Wu as someone who has been able to make substantial and exemplary contribution to the property industry in recent years, while also recognising his success and devotion throughout his career.

    The 280-meter-tall Lumina Shanghai, developed by Henderson Land Group and designed by Gensler, is the tallest skyscraper in the Xuhui Riverside District.


    A sophisticated yet modern setting was derived by juxtaposition of Indochine-Vietnamese features and wood-fire inspired material palettes. Re-interpretation of the spatial order of a typical Indochine-Vietnamese mansion has been adopted to give hierarchy, layers and details to the space.
